The Mighty Thor

I love my son. I love his fervor. His moxie. His Hel-be-damned spirit. I love the lightning in his heart. I love the mighty Thor. I just wish to the gods I knew how to tell him.

Synopsis for "A Boy and His All-Father"

In Old Asgard, Odin sends Cul to Svartalfheim to learn what Malekith's plans are. A short time later, Thor arrives seeking Screwbeard and more hammers, only to find him passed out drunk. His father Odin, drunk as well, begins to denigrate and mock him. Enraged, Thor and Odin begin to beat the living hell out of each other, all the while, Odin lamenting that he's doing to Thor what his own father Bor did to him. In Jotunheim, Loki is being called out by other Frost Giants for turning the son of Stonesnow into a frog. Enraged at his son's antics, Laufey storms off. Back in Asgard, Balder finally breaks up the fight between father and son, with Thor flying off.

Solicit Synopsis

ALL-FATHER ODIN, FATHER OF RUIN! ROAD TO THE WAR OF THE REALMS!

For months, the realms have burned with the flames of Malekith’s war, while Almighty Odin did nothing. Now Asgardia is lost in the sun, the Rainbow Bridge is shattered and the All-Father sits alone in the empty ruins of Old Asgard, drunk on mead and despair. If Odin is going to save what’s left of the realms, he’ll have to undertake the most difficult labor of his very long life. Not by being the omnipotent All-Father, but by finally being just a father to the mighty Thor.
