Synopsis for "The People Breeders!"

Thor and Recorder have returned to a Rigellian ship, when a strange energy surge is flying towards them. They jump to warp and get out of the way, unknowing that it was Galactus' ship they almost collided with. Galactus has detected abundant life energy within the Black Galaxy. Back on Earth, Tana is taken into custody by the Rigellians, who also give Thor the means to find Jane. Tana is informed that her next assignment is to be the wife of the Grand Commissioner. Elsewhere, Jane is riding with Tagar and Porgia back to Mount Wundagore Mountain when they are attacked by bandits, after the rumored wealth of the mountain. Thor, using the device, locates Mount Wundagore, and comes across what's left of the bandits, who are all in shock. Thor flies on and is ambushed by the Knights of Mount Wundagore. Thor does not resist and is taken inside. Thor then fights his way free and the New Men decide to remove his bonds. They then take off their helmets and Thor is shocked by what he sees. Inside the Genetic Chamber the High Evolutionary is experimenting on a wolf, when he is interrupted by his New Men trying to stop Thor from entering. High Evolutionary tells Thor he doesn't have time for nonsense and that Jane is in wing 2. Thor bursts through the door, only to see Jane teaching a class of New Men - evolved animals. But due to Thor's distraction, the High Evolutionary left the wolf unattended for too long, giving birth to the Man-Beast.
