The Mighty Thor

It fell from the sky many years ago, on a world without a name. I picked it up...and butchered my first gods. And then as I stood there, baptized in their blood, a question formed in my simple little brain... I wonder if there are more.

Synopsis for "What the Gods Have Wrought"

In the future, Gorr is telling the captive Volstagg of how he came to be. He lived on a planet with no name, where his people worshipped gods that they never saw and never answered their prayers. They lived in suffering because the planet had no night, so it was a constant blistering heat, nothing grew and there were vicious predators that slaughtered the tribes. After being cast out for blasphemy for daring to tell the people that there were no gods, Gorr was wandering in the desert when two gods crashed to the ground in front of him. They had been battling and mortally wounded each other. When one of them asked for his help, Gorr snapped. The weapon of the dark one leaped onto Gorr, and with it he slaughtered them both. Now empowered, he left the planet and made his way across the stars beginning his quest. To slay all the gods. After his story, Gorr whips Volstagg some more and then crucifies him.
